I thought it was time that I introduced Newtek Construction Solutions of La Paz, Baja California Sur, and my partner, Les Zwaryck.
Les relocated from British Columbia to Mexico 12 years ago bringing with him his passion for Green Construction and sustainable building technologies like the Quad-Lock ICF Building System. Newtek Construction Solutions is the distributor for Quad-Lock in Mexico. Les built homes in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Todos Santos, Pescadero and La Paz, many were completely Off Grid, solar powered homes, a tribute to Green Building any where in the world. He is a master builder with 30 years experience.
Les’ passion for Green Building pushes him to discover new technologies in all aspects of Green Building.
La Concha Pearl will be LEED certified by the U.S. Green Building Council
Dan Shore, the developer of La Concha Pearl in La Paz, introduced Les and I two years ago and shortly after, we formed the new Marketing and Sales company, KiZa Associates. It became clear to me that Green Building was not revolutionary, but rather evolutionary. Newtek Construction solutions is on the leading edge of Green Building. Dan Shore and Les have built the most energy efficient Multi Residential Building in Baja Sur. It is registered for LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, not a small feat to accomplish.

The Green Building features on this project include: Quad-Lock and Quad-Deck ICF System, exceeds seismic Zone 4 design, exceeds IBC hurricane 5 criteria, a central chiller plant provides air conditioning, dual glazed argon filled low-E windows and patio doors, solar panels heat the pool and spas, an on site bio system for distribution of gray water all built on cast in place structural concrete..no post and beam.

Newtek is a full service company providing developers and individuals with Project Management, architectural design, engineering, budgeting, Construction Management and Construction services.
KiZa Associates provides Marketing and Sales for those developments.
We have sold 16 of the 33 units at this project, slated to be finished early in 2011. The remaining inventory is priced from $459k to 1.3 million.
